Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use (my)cards, how we use it, and your choices about this information. (my)cards is your digital wallet for loyalty cards, membership cards, and other store cards, so you don't need to carry physical cards anymore.
What Information We Collect
We collect minimal anonymous usage data to help improve the app. Here is what we collect:
Anonymous Usage Data (Mixpanel)
We use a service called Mixpanel (mixpanel.com) to understand how people use our app and website. This helps us make the app better. We collect:
- Which pages and screens you view
- Which buttons you tap or click
- General information about your device, browser, and how you found us
Important: We never send your card data, payment information, or personal details to Mixpanel. All data is stored in the EU for privacy protection.
Error Reports (Sentry)
We use a service called Sentry (sentry.io) to catch and fix app crashes and errors. This helps us find and solve problems quickly. We collect:
- App crash reports
- Performance information
- Device details (operating system version, device model)
- Error details for fixing bugs
Important: No personal information or card data is included in error reports. All error logs are automatically made anonymous.
Store Information Updates
Our app connects to our server (storemycards-api.ignislabs.io) to keep store information up to date. This includes:
- Store logos and branding
- Store colors
- Which stores are available in your region
Important: This connection only updates how stores look in the app. We do not send any of your card numbers or personal information to our server. All store information is saved on your device.
What We Don't Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit your card information to our servers. All your cards (including card numbers, store names, and custom images) stay on your device only. We cannot see your cards.
In-App Purchases
(my)cards offers the following purchase option:
- Premium Features (ZAR 29.99): Lets you add more than 5 cards and unlocks all future updates included in version 1.
All purchases are handled by Apple's payment system. We do not see or store your payment information.
Apple Wallet Integration
When you export a card to Apple Wallet, the pass is created on your device. No card information is sent to any server during this process.
Technology Libraries We Use
Our app uses the following open-source tools to provide features:
- OpenSSL-Swift: For security features needed by Apple Wallet
- ZIPFoundation: For creating Apple Wallet passes
- RSBarcodes_Swift: For creating barcodes (like QR codes) shown on your cards
All these tools work entirely on your device and do not send any data anywhere. All barcode creation happens on your device.
Where Your Data is Stored
All your card information is stored only on your device. We do not use cloud storage or sync services. Your cards stay private and under your control.

1. Agreeing to These Terms
By downloading and using (my)cards, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. What the App Does
(my)cards is your digital wallet for loyalty cards, membership cards, and store cards. The app stores all your card information on your device only. We do not have access to your cards.
3. Using the App
You are responsible for:
- Making sure you have permission to store and use any loyalty cards you add to the app
- The accuracy of the card information you enter
- Understanding that not all stores may accept digital versions of cards
4. Purchases and Subscriptions
The app offers optional purchases for additional features. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and follow Apple's terms and conditions. Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy.
5. Brand Disclaimers
(my)cards is an independent application. We want to make it clear that:
- We are not connected with, endorsed by, or partnered with any stores or brands whose cards you can store in our app
- All store names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners
- Our app is a digital wallet to store your existing cards. We do not create new loyalty memberships
- We are not officially partnered with Apple or Apple Wallet. We use their standard developer tools
6. Limitations
The app is provided "as is" without warranties. We:
- Do not guarantee that all stores will accept digital cards from our app
- Are not responsible for any issues with loyalty programs or store policies
- Cannot be held liable for lost points, rewards, or benefits due to use of digital cards
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
8. Ending Your Use
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. We may stop providing the app or restrict access if these terms are violated.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, where our company is based.
